CILS and CELI Exams in Florence

Our Italian language school in Florence is an official center for the CILS and CELI exams, internationally recognized certifications valid for legal purposes worldwide.

Passing the CILS and CELI exams allows you to obtain an official certification that attests to your Italian language proficiency.

These certifications are valuable for both professional and academic opportunities. At our school, you can take all levels of the CILS and CELI exams.

The exam will take place in Via Sant’Egidio 12, 50122 Florence, Italy.

CILS exam details

  • CILS price: 40€-160€ depending on the level;
  • CILS payment deadline: at least 40 days before the exam date;
  • CILS exam dates: twice a year, in December and June, for all levels;
    • Next dates:
      • June 11, 2025 (submission deadline: April 28, 2025)
      • December 4, 2025 (submission deadline: October 25, 2025)
  • Issued by: University for Foreigners of Siena.
  • Available levels: A1, A2, A1 and A2 integrazione, CILS Livello Uno (B1), B1 cittadinanza, B1 adolescenti, CILS Livello Due (B2)

CELI exam details

  • CELI price: Fix price of 120€;
  • CELI payment deadline: at least 30 days before the exam date;
  • CELI exam dates: once a year
    • Next date:
      • 12  March 2025, for 4 levels (A1-B2) (submission deadline: February 14, 2025);
  • Issued by: University for Foreigners of Perugia.

Closure days

Christmas break

Our school will be closed during the Christmas holidays and over the New Year.

Courses will end on the Friday before Christmas (25/12) and will resume on the first Monday after Epiphany (6/1).

If you are enrolled in classes during this period, the 2 weeks will not count, and the end date of your enrolment will be adjusted accordingly.

Bank holidays:

The school will remain closed during public holidays. The private classes (online and in Florence) and the group online classes will be rescheduled, while participants of group courses will receive a voucher worth €40 that can be used for other courses, both in presence and online.

Bank holidays in Italy: 01/01, 06/01, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday (variable dates), 25/04, 01/05, 02/06, 15/08, 01/11, 08/12, 25/12, 26/12.
